Road & Track Magazine

Godfrey Dadich Partners partnered with Hearst Autos to redesign Road & Track, reimagining the iconic automotive magazine around the precision and energy of racing. The new identity pushed the format to its limits through exaggerated scale, expansive margins, and a flexible editorial grid.

My role focused on illustration art direction and editorial design. Working closely with the Creative Director, we established an illustration approach that complemented the broader identity while allowing for different styles and perspectives.

Across each issue, the work involved developing visual concepts for several stories, researching and commissioning illustrators, and overseeing the creative process from briefing through final artwork. Each collaboration balanced a cohesive editorial direction with the illustrator’s individual style, while the layouts brought the artwork and storytelling together.
