Harwell Godfrey

Harwell Godfrey is a fine jewelry brand founded by San Francisco–based designer Lauren Harwell Godfrey. The project focused on refining the existing logomark and developing a packaging system that reflected the geometric character and sophistication of her jewelry.

Inspired by the shapes of her pieces, the logomark was refined using proportions based on the golden ratio, creating a harmonious symbol that could adapt across applications, from packaging to engravings on the jewelry itself.

My role focused on developing the packaging system, including pouches, tissue paper, jewelry boxes, shopping bags, and shipping materials. A restrained palette of dark, stone-inspired tones provided a backdrop for colorful gemstones, while gold foil details added a subtle sense of luxury. I also provided art direction for the brand photography, focusing on composition, styling, and highlighting the materials and details of the packaging.
